We know we keep going on about this, but everything we've included in Controller is the result of years of talking to, and trying to solve the problems of; busy despatch offices. One of the problems a busy office has, is knowing where drivers are. We can help with this by providing a visual representation of the despatch screen. We call this the plotting screen. The plotting screen shows where your drivers are, and what they are doing.

If you are an owner driver or have less than 30 drivers, you are probably not interested in this screen - so turn it off! That's the beauty of Controller; you turn off the bits you don't want, and on the bits you do. However, you know you have a piece of software which is so versatile, it can accommodate any future plans you have for your business.

The plotting screen can show you which of your drivers are working, where, and who's next in line for a job. It can show you at a glance where the jobs are, and how many drivers you have to cover jobs in that area. If a driver contacts you saying they are clearing in Manchester City Centre, you can see if there any jobs waiting to be done in Manchester City Centre, or where the closest job needing to be done is. You can do this without scrolling through all the jobs on the despatch screen, to work out which ones are near to Manchester. You can then drag and drop the driver from the plotting screen, on to the job on the despatch screen. The whole despatch process is quick, easy and seamless. In fact Controller will suggest which driver should be given the next job, a suggestion you can take or ignore. If you're a busy office we think you'll love Controller's plotting screen.
