It's Christmas and we wanted to remind you that Courier Systems doesn't give out Christmas Cards - sorry!

Instead we donate our Christmas Card budget to our favourite charity, which is First Base We choose First Base because they do an amazing job, trying to help rough sleepers piece their lives back together, and also because, we are struck by First Base's business like approac - we feel that every penny is wisely used.

Choice of how you select drivers

Select a driver on the booking screen by name or callsign. If you have many suppliers, remembering their callsigns can be problematic. You can now use either name, or callsign, for selecting drivers on the booking screen. Use System>Configuration>System Settings>Booking Screen to access the change (set to Yes or No) ...selecting by name... ...selecting by callsign.

Repeat Job

If you have done the job before, it will be indicated on the booking screen. Note: you will have to do a 'Reduce Archive', followed by a purge, for this to become effective. System>Support>Reindex>Archive

New Recall

New recall introduced.
*Recall on all jobs, current or historic
*Date order regardless of whether job is in history or not
*Invoiced/Not invoiced
*Specific/Any service
*Include/Exclude Vias
*Manually priced/Automatically priced.
Note: you will have to do a 'Reduce Archive' for this to become effective followed by a purge.

Send Backup to Courier Systems

Backups can now be uploaded to Courier Systems in the event of a support issue. Data is backed up the the installation folder (C:\Program files(x86)\Courier Systems\V7WIN\V7WIN\BIN then FTP'd to our server.

Price Tariff

Price tariff creation now moved to Windows version

Quick Exit to Controller added

CTRL-X, CTRL-V and CTRL-C working correctly now. To exit Controller quickly, use ALT+F+X which is a standard way of exiting a windows program

Job Export

Export all jobs that appear on an invoice or credit note Export the jobs that appear on an invoice or credit note to a CSV file (Use Customers and Invoicing>Copy/reprint/Export invoices)

Removed XtraVan as it is no longer used.

License Renewal

New licence renewal server. During the ongoing development of our Cloud based Controller system, a new internet based licence renewal system has been released. If you have been using Controller for a while, you will need to reactivate. This is a simple process of providing us with your up to date address and contact information, and in return we shall email you a new activation key (no more 'server unavailable' messages we hope)

In the event of no vias on a job, the word NONE has been removed.

Courier Exchange / Transport Exchange Group

Start development to allow the posting of jobs from Controller directly to Courier Exchange from Despatch Screen 2. Highlight the job, then press 'C'; or right click the job, and select Despatch Options->Courier exchange

Branch Office/Head Office

Branch Office / Head Office settings - create a system configuration setting to allow legacy DOS BRHOFER system to continue to run.
