The New Despatch Screen

Our clients have been really enthusiastic about our new Despatch Screen - and so they should, its come from suggestions made by them.
Our Controller software package is evolving, as our clients business changes.
We continually make improvements to our software in response to requests by our clients, changes in technology and business practices. All our clients get the benefit of the improvements, but can choose to stay with their existing version of Controller.

Controller questions and answers
You asked:
- Is there a quick way to see all a customers invoices, and select a copy invoice to send to them?
- Is there a quick way to create a credit job?
- Can we enter extra charges (e.g. waiting time/extra mileage/extra drops) when our drivers telephone in the job POD (Proof Of Delivery)?
- Is there a quick way to edit or check a customers details?
- We have a new customer, is there a way I can make their jobs more visible so we can give them extra special service?
We replied:
Is there a quick way to see all a customers invoices, and select a copy invoice to send to them?
Yes, we've now improved Controller thanks to you: Start a new booking with that customer's account displayed, click 'F2 Price' then 'F3 Invoices'. A list of invoices will be displayed, select the one you want to send and click 'Email Selected'. If you have the Win2PDf printer driver installed, and you're emailing is configured, an email will be sent containing the invoice return
Is there a quick way to create a credit job?
Yes, we've now improved Controller thanks to you: Find the job on Despatch window 2.0/Summary window or Daily Search window, and right-click. Select 'Create a credit booking' at the bottom of the menu. A new job will be created with the exact same details, but as a credit booking which can be processed immediately, or later during your weekly invoice or credit note run return
Can we enter extra charges (e.g. waiting time/extra mileage/extra drops) when our drivers telephone in the job POD (Proof Of Delivery)?Yes, we've now improved Controller thanks to you: When you enter the POD ( 'Booking screen >F6' or 'ENTER' on the POD screen ), you will see a number of additional fields above the area where you type in the POD details ( 'name/date/time' ) titled 'Charges claimed by the driver/supplier'. Record the extra charges there, and they will be displayed on the pricing screen when you come to verify the job ( 'Booking screen > F2')

Is there a quick way to edit or check a customers details? Yes, we've now improved Controller thanks to you: On Despatch screen 2.0, find a job for that customer, right click, and then select 'Edit customer account' return
We have a new customer, is there a way I can make their jobs more visible so we can give them extra special service? Yes, we've now improved Controller thanks to you: Edit the customer account, and tick the box marked 'Special customer' near the top. Now, all their jobs will appear in bold if you are using Despatch Screen V2.0 return
