There has been a change in the way Google maps work with Controller. Google has made it clear to us, that if you wish to continue using Google maps with Controller, you need to purchase a business licence. The cost starts at $10,000 per year. We have devised a way you can continue to enjoy Google Maps without the $10,000.00 price tag, but there's a built in restriction of 8 additional vias on each journey.Let us know how it works for you.
Instant Sending of Jobs to Drivers
Problem: When we use Email to send jobs to drivers, there can be a long delay before the email is received the driver. SMS text messages get through instantly, but they are naturally restricted to 161 characters.Solution: Use a combination of Email and SMS. Send the job details using Email, then send a quick PRE-ALERT via SMS, to notify the driver to check their emails (This will happen automatically if you have the SMS feature configured.)
Note: If you are using ESENDEX you should seriously consider buying and connecting an Android phone to Controller, this will allow you to send unlimited Texts for a simple PAYG SIM charge of only a few pounds per month!

Full APC Overnight charging structure introduced.Quotation Copy Emails - as requested by you
Problem:The Quotation system works fine, but we would like to have a copy of the email we send to our customer, sent to us as well.Solution:When you are next in the Quotation Options window, check 'Send a copy to me', and Controller will send a copy to your default email addresses (set in Company details).
Another Request Answered
Problem: We have a public office where we receive Next Day consignments. We want to be able to book the consignments directly into Controller, but we don't want our staff to have access to any other services, other than Next Day. We would like to restrict users to booking work only, for certain accounts.Solution:Use the Restricted User feature. Restricted Users are Controller users who only have access to a limited (restricted) list of accounts and/or services.
To set the restrictions, go to System>Configuration Wizards>Restricted User (you will need the system password - contact us if you do not have it.)
Proceed through The Restricted User Wizard, completing the settings as presented...
Once complete, log off and log on again as the restricted user. Go to the Batch Bookings window and you should see that you are limited to the accounts and services specified.
