All those vans you see whizzing about are either empty on their way to a pickup, or empty on their way back - imagine if you could tap into that resource, or better still, make any of your empty vehicles available to anyone needing to move goods.

Over the last few months we've been working on a new addition to our Controller despatch software. XtraVan is much like Nigel Thomas's original LinkLoad idea; (see history), and similar in functionality to the current crop of vehicle and job sharing services available on the Internet today. Essentially, XtraVan will allow you to advertise your empty vehicles so that other XtraVan users will be able to utilise your spare capacity to cover their jobs. It is not a job sharing system, you can use it only to advertise empty vehicles, it's up to other XtraVan users to contact you if they have a job.
Please bear with us while we try and get XtraVan off the ground, we are doing this on a strict budget, no mass advertising and slick salesmen (that's why its free at the moment). As and when it takes off, we'll improve things, but in the meantime, we hope you can see the potential.
